Textor’s determination has only increased since Everton owner Farhad Moshiri opted for a different offer, choosing instead to negotiate with Dan Friedkin, the owner of AS Roma. Despite this missed opportunity, he remains committed to his vision of English football investment and will look to cash in on his 46 per cent stake in Crystal Palace to facilitate the process.
WHAT TEXTOR SAID
Speaking at the Ole Sports Summit, Textor emphasised: "We are looking to acquire a club where we can have a majority stake.”
Undeterred by the competitive English landscape, Textor has revealed he is even open to acquiring a Championship club with the potential for promotion to the Premier League. “We are also open to second-division clubs that we think can be promoted,” Textor noted, showing his flexibility in finding a club with growth prospects.

Textor reportedly has potential buyers who are eager to acquire his 46 per cent share in The Eagles. Among the interested parties are two frontrunners: an international consortium represented by two Crystal Palace supporters, and Stanley Tang, the billionaire co-founder of food delivery giant DoorDash. The group of Palace supporters, led by businessmen Zechariah Janjua and Navshir Jaffer, has gained traction and is being advised by experienced football financier Keith Harris.
