A frustrating night for Manchester United in the Premier League sparked plenty of rage on Twitter from supporters, many of whom were angry with manager Jose Mourinho for not playing Anthony Martial.
The French striker has had limited game time for the Red Devils since November, with his boss challenging him to earn his spot in the first team.
After impressing in United’s 4-0 win over Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup at the weekend, Martial was given a spot on the bench for Wednesday night’s visit of Hull City.
Mourinho’s side dominated the ball with 67% possession and produced 15 shots, six of which were on target, but goalkeeping heroics and poor finishing resulted in a 0-0 draw.
The result has put a slight dent in United’s hopes of finishing in the top four as they now sit four points adrift of Liverpool, who currently occupy the final Champions League spot.

During the game, United peppered Hull’s goal, but they failed to find the breakthrough, and fans were bemused by Mourinho’s decision to leave Martial on the bench.
He brought on Wayne Rooney for Michael Carrick following the half-time break, and an enforced substitution was made when Chris Smalling replaced injured Phil Jones.
Martial’s name was sung by some sections of home supporters at Old Trafford, but Mourinho opted to introduce Juan Mata in his final change of the game, bringing off Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
After the final whistle, fans took to social media to blast the manager’s decision for leaving Martial on the bench.
