Everton fans on Twitter are split on whether or not they would like to see Jose Mourinho replace Marco Silva as the club’s manager. Mourinho has been out of a managerial job since being sacked by Manchester United last season just before Christmas.
The former Real Madrid manager spent £400m on 11 players at United and left his post when the club were sixth in the Premier League but closer to the relegation zone in terms of their points tally.
As of now, Everton are in the same league position they were in when Ronald Koeman was sacked, and the club are clearly in desperate need of someone with previous winning experience to help them achieve Farhad Moshiri’s aims of Champions League football.

Mourinho has proved his worth around the continent for nearly two decades and has won three league titles in England, with his most recent domestic trophy coming in the 2017 League Cup win with the Red Devils.
Everton have not won a major trophy since 1995, reaching just the one FA Cup final since then. So, perhaps hiring a man with eight major trophies in England isn’t such a bad idea.
