Just moments after a dejected Fernandes left the pitch, young midfield sensation Kobbie Mainoo was subbed off as he appeared to suffer an injury. Mason Mount was introduced in place of his compatriot a few minutes before half-time. However, United's miseries did not end there as the former Chelsea star picked up a late head injury and was seen bleeding from a nasty wound.
WHAT ERIK TEN HAG SAID
Speaking to MUTV after the match, the Dutch coach provided updates on his two midfield stars as he said, "I can't say in this moment. I have to find out but, of course, when a player is coming off before half-time already, then there are some concerns."
