Arsenal and Real Madrid are set to clash in the Champions League for the fourth time in history with a trip to the semifinals on the line.
Arsenal and Real Madrid might be two of the biggest clubs in the world, but they have rarely come face to face. The two sides, featuring legends of the game like Thierry Henry, David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane, played one another in the 2005–06 Champions League round of 16.
It then took 19 years for Arsenal and Real Madrid to meet again in the 2024–25 Champions League. From Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka to Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior, the next generation of superstars clashed at the Emirates in a lopsided affair that ended with a 3–0 victory for Arsenal.
Now, Arsenal are headed to Spain to take on Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu. The match might only be the fourth time in history the two clubs play one another, but it could very well be the most important.
