Alaba was substituted at half-time in Madrid's 1-0 win against Getafe on Thursday, with France international Camavinga replacing him. However, the substitute also finished the match with an issue and Madrid have since confirmed that he suffered "a complete tear of his left adductor tendon" and will not feature again this season.

The concerns around Alaba and Camavinga pose more problems for Ancelotti, who is facing the sack heading into his team's clash with fierce rivals Barcelona this weekend. Madrid are already without defenders Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal, as well as forward Kylian Mbappe, but the Italian coach must add two more names to that list.
WHAT ANCELOTTI SAID
"Camavinga needs to be seen [on Thursday], but both he and Alaba's are muscle problems, and it's difficult for them to be there for Saturday," he said. "I'm not upset because the objective was to get the three points… It's true that we looked for more solidity at the back and we need more effectiveness up front. Yes, Fran García is the only alternative at left back for Saturday."
AFPWHAT NEXT FOR MADRID?
Madrid are out of the Champions League and four points behind Barcelona in La Liga, meaning Saturday's game could be their only opportunity to grab silverware towards the end of the season.
