Arsenal have announced the signing of Noni Madueke from London rivals Chelsea in a deal believed to be worth £52 million (€60m/$69.9m).

The Gunners have been on the lookout for a new winger this transfer window and were first linked with Madueke towards the end of June. Following positive talks with Chelsea and the player's camp, they advanced on a deal and have now confirmed its completion.

Madueke becomes Arsenal's fourth major signing of the summer, following on from Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and fellow Chelsea star Kepa Arrizabalaga. Mikel Arteta is also hoping to wrap up deals for Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres in the coming days.

After two-and-a-half mixed seasons at Stamford Bridge, Madueke heads to the Emirates Stadium looking to kick his career into another gear. He scored 20 goals in 92 games for Chelsea, helping them win two trophies earlier this summer in the form of the Conference League and Club World Cup. The 23-year-old has also been capped seven times by the England senior team.

Arsenal are hoping to finalise deals for Mosquera and Gyokeres before they head off on a pre-season tour of Asia. They will face AC Milan and Newcastle United in Singapore before taking on rivals Tottenham Hotspur in Hong Kong.
